Adaptation Service for Council Tenants

• Administration of the adaptation contract for all council tenants.

Adaptation Service for Owner Occupiers / Private Tenants

• Administration of the private sector adaptation service, through the Disabled Facilities Grant Process, and administration of Discretionary Adaptation Loans and Grants.

Assessment of Needs

• Assessment of clients needs within the home.

'Move On' Scheme

• Information for tenants who have a disability and wish to move to a property that better suits their needs.

Anchor Staying Put

• This is a not for profit Home Improvement Agency run by Anchor Trust, in partnership with Thurrock, to help older and disabled home owners who live in the Borough. The Agency can help with advice and practical help with repairs, improvements and adaptations to the home, enabling owners to 'stay put' in the community in comfort and safety.
