The LA have both contracted and non-contracted providers.
Referrals are written by the child SW and sent to the placement team.
Referrals are then sent out by the placement team to contracted and non-contracted providers in the area the placement is required.
Providers are sourced via the Ofsted list which is updated monthly. Only providers who have their Ofsted URN are considered for new supported living placements.
Responses from providers are reviewed to find the most suitable match for the young person.
Placements costs are then agreed and IPA drawn up.
The tender for contacted providers is overseen by the commissioning service and is renewed every 4 years.
