Response:

1.  A budget consultation survey was held between 29 November 2023 to 7 January 2024. The survey included multiple choice questions relating to budget priorities and delivery. The survey was targeted at a wide range of stakeholders including businesses, the voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise sector and residents. Four community information events were held to promote the survey and to encourage participation. One targeted meeting with the voluntary sector was held, convened by Thurrock CVS between council officers and representatives of voluntary sector organisations. Overall, 525 responses to this survey were received. 35 responses were from Thurrock Business Owners. No details are held with regards to meetings in previous years.

2. We are not aware of any direct contact with the Federation of Small Businesses, or direct invitations to attend meetings or take part in the consultation.
