The General Election in Thurrock

Thurrock Council has received the writs from His Majesty King Charles III officially declaring that elections for Members of Parliament will take place in the Thurrock constituency and the South Basildon and East Thurrock constituency on Thursday 4 July 2024.

Notices of Election for each constituency have been published and candidates have until 4pm, Friday 7 June 2024 to submit their nomination papers to Thurrock Council.

To be able to vote in the general election, make sure you are registered to vote. If you are not registered, you have until midnight on Tuesday 18 June 2024 to apply. It's important to make sure your registration details are correct, especially if you have recently moved house or changed your name.
