Voting by post in the General Election 2024

19 June 2024

The application period for a postal vote in the 2024 General Election has now closed (5pm, Wednesday 19 June). If you have applied in time, you will receive a postal vote ballot pack. This will tell you how to vote by post, along with the date and time by which we need to receive your completed pack.

Please do not post your completed packs in Thurrock Council's external mail box. Postal votes can be sent by Royal Mail. You can also hand-in postal votes at the reception desk of Thurrock Council’s Town Hall at the south end of the High Street, Grays, but you will be asked to complete an additional postal vote return form.

If you live in the Pitsea wards of South Basildon and East Thurrock and have an Essex County Council ballot paper, this should not be returned with your UK Parliament General Election pack. Use only the County Council postal pack to return your County Council ballot paper.
