Traffic Regulation Order (TRO)

Electric Vehicle Parking Places

1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 33, 35, 45 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the 1984 Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, hereby gives notice that they have made the above order on 30 May 2024, the order will come in to force on 20 June 2024.

2) The general effect of the Order would be:

a) revoke "Limited waiting Mon-Fri 8am-6pm 2hrs no return within 1hr" and implement a shared use bays "Electric Vehicle Charging Bay/ Limited waiting Mon-Fri 8am-6pm 2hrs no return within 1hr" at the following location:
i. on the south side Calcutta Road, Tilbury, outside numbers 39 to 55 (4 Bays)

b) revoke "Payment Parking (Tariff Code PP2) Mon-Sat 9am-6pm max stay 4hrs no return within 1hr" and Implement Electric Vehicle Charging Places at the following location:
i. on the northeast side Derby Road Bridge, Grays (7 Bays)

c) revoke "Payment Parking (Tariff Code PP1) Mon-Sat 9am-6pm max stay 1hr no return within 1hr" and implement "Electric Vehicle Charging Places" at the following location:
i. on the south side of Station Approach Road, Grays, outside numbers 2 to 3 (2 Bays)

d) revoke "Disabled parking place" at the following location:
i. on the west side New Maltings, Aveley, adjacent to 104 High Street (2 Bays)

e) Implement shared use bays "Disabled Parking Place/Electric Vehicle Charging Bay at the following location:
i. on the west side New Maltings, Aveley, adjacent to 104 High Street (2 Bays)

f) Implement shared use bays "Electric Vehicle Charging Bay/ Limited waiting Mon-Sat 8am-6pm 2hrs no return within 4hr" at the following location:
i. on the west side New Maltings, Aveley, adjacent to 104a High Street (6 Bays)

g) Implement "Limited waiting Mon-Sat 8am-6pm 2hrs no return within 4hr" at the following location:
i. on the west side New Maltings, Aveley, adjacent to 104b High Street (4 Bays)

h) revoke "Loading Place" at the following location:
i. on the south side of Orsett Road, Grays, outside numbers 40 and 42 

i) revoke "Payment Parking (Tariff Code PP2) Mon-Sat 9am-6pm max stay 4hrs no return within 1hr" at the following location:
i. on the south side of Orsett Road, Grays, outside numbers 44 to 62

j) Implement "Payment Parking (Tariff Code PP2) Mon-Sat 9am-6pm max stay 4hrs no return within 1hr" at the following location:
i. on the south side of Orsett Road, Grays, outside numbers 42 to 44

k) Implement "Electric Vehicle Charging Places" at the following location:
i. on the south side of Orsett Road, Grays, outside numbers 44 to 62 (6 Bays)

l) revoke "Limited waiting Mon-Fri 8am-5pm 4hrs no return within 1hr" at the following location:
i. on the east side Daiglen Drive Car Park, South Ockendon, outside numbers 125 to 135 

m) revoke "Disabled parking place" at the following location:
i. on the east side Daiglen Drive Car Park, South Ockendon, outside number 125

n) Implement "Electric Vehicle Charging Bay" at the following location:
i. on the east side Daiglen Drive Car Park, South Ockendon, outside numbers 129 to 135 (6 Bays)

o) Implement shared use bays "Electric Vehicle Charging Bay/ Mon-Fri 8am-5pm 4hrs no return within 1hr" at the following location:
i. on the east side Daiglen Drive Car Park, South Ockendon, outside numbers 125 to 127 (6 Bays)

p) Implement "Disabled Parking Place" at the following location:
i. on the east side Daiglen Drive Car Park, South Ockendon, outside number 125

3) This Order is to be read in conjunction with any other orders pertaining to the on-street parking places order in relation to parking restrictions/ operational times and fees.

4) A copy of the Made Order together with the plans can be obtained from the Transport Delivery team by phoning 01375 652 652 during normal office hours or alternatively via Thurrock Council's website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices

5) Any person wishing to object to the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the 1984 Act, or that any requirements of the Act has not been complied with, may, within 6 weeks from the date of on which the order is made apply for the purpose to the High Court.
