Traffic Regulation Order (TRO)

Temporary prohibition or restriction on roads

Garron Lane, Easington Way and Annalee Gardens, South Ockendon

1) The Borough Council of Thurrock, in exercise of their powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other powers, has made an Order the effect of which is to:

  • prohibit any vehicles from parking in various locations in accordance with Schedule One to the Order
  • prohibit any vehicles from travelling along various locations in accordance with Schedule One to the Order

2) The purpose of the Order is to enable Thurrock Council to carry out microsurfacing. 

3) The Order will come into force on Friday 19 July 2024 at 8am. Works are currently scheduled to take place as per Schedule One to the Order. It only applies to those days and times when indicated on site by the presence of the appropriate traffic signs in accordance with The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

4) The alternative routes are as per Schedule One to the Order. Access will be maintained for residents.

5) It is expected that the works will be completed within the above times, however the Order will continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner.

6) If the works are not completed within 18 months, the Order may be extended for a longer period with the approval of the Secretary of State.

Schedule One

Location Diversion Dates
Prohibit any vehicles from travelling along Easington Way from its junction with Foyle Drive in its entirety. No diversion route, however, access will be maintained for residents.  Daily between Friday 19 July and Wednesday 24 July between the hours of 8am and 5pm. Prohibit any vehicles from parking at any time as per the schedule along the whole of the north and south kerb lines of Easington Way from its junction with Foyle Drive. Not applicable.
Prohibit any vehicles from exiting Dunkellin Way, Deveron Gardens, Elan Road and Ernan Road at its junctions with Easington Way. Elan Road and Ernan Road to travel northbound and Dunkellin Way and Deveron Gardens to travel southbound.  
Temporarily revoke the northbound only travel on Deveron Gardens in order to maintain access for residents. Not applicable.
Prohibit any vehicles from travelling along Annalee Gardens in its entirety. No alternative route, Access for residents will be maintained Thursday 25 July 2024 between the hours of 8am and 5pm. Exact dates will be specified at https://one.network/?tmi=GB32289461
Prohibit any vehicles from parking at any time along all kerb lines of Annalee Gardens from its junction with Annalee Road. Not applicable.
Prohibit any vehicle from travelling along Garron Lane from its southernmost junction with Foyle Drive for a distance of approximately 500m in a west and north direction. Westbound diversion is Foyle Drive northbound and Garron Lane westbound and vice versa for southbound vehicles.   Daily from Friday 26 July 2024 and Wednesday 31 July 2024 between the hours of 8am and 5pm. Prohibit any vehicle from exiting Humber Avenue at its junction with Garron Lane. Eastbound diversion is northbound on Humber Avenue and then Foyle Drive and vice versa for access to Humber Avenue. 
Prohibit any vehicle from travelling along Gatehope Drive at its junction with Garron Lane. Westbound diversion will be Foyle Drive northbound and Humber Avenue and vice versa for eastbound vehicles. 
Prohibit any vehicle from exiting Fulbrook Lane at its junction with Garron Lane. Northbound diversion will be Fulbrook Lane southbound, Stifford Road and Foyle Drive and vice versa for access only. 
Temporarily revoke the northbound only travel on Fulbrook Lane in order to maintain access for residents. Not applicable.
To prohibit any vehicles from parking at any time along all kerb lines of Garron Lane from its junction with Foyle Drive for a distance of approximately 500m in a northeast direction. Not applicable.
