Traffic Regulation Order (TRO)
At Any Time Waiting Restrictions, Limited Waiting
Grays Permit Parking Area, Zone J
1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers under sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (hereinafter referred to as "the 1984 Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, intends to make the above named Order ("the Proposed Order").
2) The general effect of the Order would be to introduce:
a) Permit Parking Area Zone J (PPA Mon-Fri 8am-6pm) in the following roads:
i) Benson Road, both sides from a point 21m from the junction with Bridge Road in an east direction to its junction with Salisbury Road
ii) Salisbury Road, both sides for the entire length
iii) Kent Road, both sides for the entire length
iv) Richmond Road, both sides for the entire length
b) Limited Waiting Bays - "Mon-Fri 8.00am-6.00pm 30 minutes stay, no return within 1 hour" on the road specified below:
i) Limited waiting bays – on the east side of Salisbury Road from a point 15m north from the northern kerb line of East Thurrock Road in a north direction for a distance of 22m
c) "At Any Time" Waiting Restrictions:
i) on both sides of Salisbury Road from the north kerb line of East Thurrock Road in a north direction for a distance of 15m
3) A copy of the Proposed Order together with the plans can be viewed on Thurrock Council's website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices. Alternatively, the proposals can be viewed by appointment during normal office hours (Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm) by contacting the Transport Delivery Team via troconsultations@thurrock.gov.uk – those who are unable to email can phone 01375 652 652.
4) Any objection to the Proposed Order must be made in writing, giving the grounds on which it is made and sent to the following address Civic Offices, New Road, Grays, RM17 6SL or sent via email to troconsultations@thurrock.gov.uk to arrive on or before 26 September 2024. Any objection may be communicated to other persons who may be affected.
