Traffic Regulation Order (TRO)

No waiting

Grenville Road, Chafford Hundred

1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the 1984 Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, intends to make the above named Order ("the Proposed Order").

2) The general effect of the Order would be:

a) to introduce a new waiting restriction "No Waiting Mon - Fri 1PM - 2PM" at the following location(s):

i. on the south side of Grenville Road from a point 9m west of the west kerbline of Galleon Way in a west direction for a distance of 19.4m
ii. on the east side of Grenville Road from a point 5m south of the south property boundary wall of 7 Grenville Road following the kerbline in a southwest direction to a point 4m east of the west boundary of property boundary wall of numbers 57 to 73 Grenville Road
iii. on the west side of Grenville Road from a point 3m west of the west property boundary wall of flats numbers 42 to 52 Grenville Road following the kerbline in a southwest direction to a point 11m north of the north property boundary wall of numbers 75 to 85 Grenville Road
iv. on both sides of Grenville Road from a point 11m north of the north property boundary wall of numbers 75 to 85 Grenville Road following the kerbline in a south then east direction to the west property boundary wall of numbers 87 to 103 Grenville Road
v. on both sides of Grenville Road from the west property boundary wall of numbers 87 to 103 Grenville Road following the kerbline in an east direction around the turning head
vi. on the west side of Grenville Road from the south property boundary wall of numbers 42 to 52 Grenville Road following the kerbline in a north direction to a point 1m north of the north property boundary wall of numbers 18 to 28 Grenville Road
vii. on the east side of Grenville Road from a point 1m north of the north property boundary wall of numbers 18 to 28 Grenville Road following the kerbline in a south direction to a point 4m north of the north property boundary of no 8 Grenville Road
viii. on both sides of Grenville Road from a point 1m north of the north property boundary wall of numbers 18 to 28 Grenville Road following the kerbline in a north direction around the turning head

b) to introduce a new waiting restriction "No Waiting At Any Time" at the following locations:

i. on the east side of Grenville Road from the south property boundary wall of 7 Grenville Road in a south direction for a distance of 5m
ii. on the west side of Grenville Road from the west property boundary wall of flats numbers 42 to 52 Grenville Road following the kerbline in a southwest direction for a distance of 3m
iii. on the east side of Grenville Road from a point 11m north of the north property boundary wall of flats numbers 75 to 85 Grenville Road following the kerbline in a north direction for a distance of 4m
iv. on the east side of Grenville Road from a point 1m north of the north property boundary of number 8 in a north direction for 3m

3) A copy of the Proposed Order together with the plans can be obtained from the Transport Development team by contacting us on 01375 652 652 during normal office hours or alternatively via Thurrock Council's website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices 

4) Any objection to the proposed order must be made in writing, giving the grounds on which, it is made and sent to the following address Civic Offices, New Road, Grays, RM17 6SL or sent via email to troconsultations@thurrock.gov.uk to arrive on or before 7 December 2023. Any objection may be communicated to other persons who may be affected.
