Temporary Prohibition or Restriction of Traffic
Marshfoot Road, Grays
1) The Borough Council of Thurrock, in exercise of their powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other powers, has made the Order the effect of which is to:
- Prohibit any vehicle from travelling along Marshfoot Road between Marshfoot Road roundabout and Gateway Academy Roundabout.
2) The purpose of the Order is to enable7Thurrock Council to carry out carraigeway resurfacing.
3) The alternative route for eastbound vehicles is Marshfoot Road Roundabout, A126 Marshfoot Road westbound, Old Dock Approach Road northbound, B149 Wood View, Daneholes Roundabout, B149 Wood View, B149 Chadwell Road, and B149 Chadwell Bypass. The alternative route for westbound vehicles is Chadwell Bypass, Chadwell Road, Link Road From Chadwell Road To Wood View, Old Dock Approach Road Northbound, Wood View, Daneholes Roundabout, Wood View, and Old Dock Approach Road Southbound. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses at all times.
4) The Order will come into force on the 24th February 2025 at 19:00hrs. Works are currently scheduled to take place nightly between 24th February 2025 and 1st March 2025 between the hours of 19:00 and 05:00. Exact dates however will always be specified on https://one.network/?tm=141938914 It only applies to those days and times when indicated on site by the presence of the appropriate traffic signs in accordance with The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
5) It is expected that the works will be completed within the above times, however the Order will continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner
6) If the works are not completed within 18 months, the Order may be extended for a longer period with the approval of the Secretary of State.
