Oliver Road, Burnley Road and Watson Close, West Thurrock No.2

  1. Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers under sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (hereinafter referred to as “the Act of 1984”) and all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9  to the1984 Act, intends to make the above named Order (“the Proposed Order”).
  1. The general effect of the Order would be to;
    1. Revoke the existing Traffic Order “The Borough of Thurrock, (Oliver Road, Burnley Road and Watson Close, West Thurrock) (No Waiting At Any Time) Order 2023”
    1. Introduce new waiting restrictions “No Waiting At Any Time” at the following locations;-
      1. Oliver Road, both sides from its junction with Oliver Close to and including its junction with Watson Close and Burnley Road.
      2. Watson Close, both sides of from the eastern kerb line of Oliver Road in an easterly direction for a distance of 15m.
      3. Burnley Road, both sides along its entire length of adopted Highway from its junction with Oliver Road and Watson Close to the Navigator terminal entrance.
  1. A copy of the Proposed Order together with the plans can be viewed on Thurrock Council’s website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices. Alternatively the proposals can be viewed by appointment during normal office hours (Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm) by contacting the Transport Delivery Team via TROconsultations@thurrock.gov.uk.   1. Any objection to the proposed order must be made in writing, giving the grounds on which it is made and sent to the following address Civic Offices, New Road, Grays, RM17 6SL or sent via email to troconsultations@thurrock.gov.uk to arrive on or before 8 August 2024. Any objection may be communicated to other persons who may be affected.
