Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Temporary Prohibition or Restriction of Traffic

Station Road, East Tilbury Speed Reduction

1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (hereinafter referred to as “the Act of 1984”) and all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, intends to make the above named Order (“the Proposed Order”).

2) The general effect of the Order would be to introduce a 30mph Speed Limit restriction (reducing from the current 50mph speed limit) at the following location: -

  1. Station Road, from its junction with Princess Margaret Road in a north-westerly direction for 150.5m     

            Revoke existing 50mph speed limit at the following location

    1.  Station Road from its junction with Princess Margaret Road in a north-westerly direction for 150.5m.

3) A copy of the Proposed Order together with the plans can be viewed on Thurrock Council’s website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices. Alternatively, the proposals can be viewed by appointment during normal office hours (Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm) by contacting the Transport Delivery Team via troconsultations@thurrock.gov.uk. 4) Any objection to the proposed order must be made in writing, giving the grounds on which it is made and sent to the following address Civic Offices, New Road, Grays, RM17 6SL or sent via email to troconsultations@thurrock.gov.uk to arrive on or before 12th December 2024. Any objection may be communicated to other persons who may be affected.
