Traffic Regulation Order (TRO)

No waiting at any time

Stifford Road, South Ockendon

1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the 1984 Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, intends to make the above named Order ("the Proposed Order").

2) The general effect of the Order would be to introduce new waiting restrictions "No Waiting At Any Time" at the following locations:

i. on the west side of Stifford Road, from the north kerb line of B1335 Stifford Road following the kerb line in a north then west direction for a distance of 27m
ii. on the southeast side of Stifford Road, from the north kerb line of B1335 Stifford Road following the kerb line in a north then east direction for a distance of 164m
iii. on the north side of Fulbrook Lane, from the north kerb of Stifford Road following the kerb line in a northeast direction for a distance of 10m
iv. on the north side of Stifford Road, from the southwest kerb line of Fulbrook Lane following the kerb line in a northwest direction for a distance of 10m
v. on the west side of Foyle Drive following the kerb line in a southwest direction for a distance of 154m

3) A copy of the Proposed Order together with the plans can be viewed on Thurrock Council's website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices. Alternatively the proposals can be viewed by appointment during normal office hours (Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm) by contacting the Transport Delivery team via troconsultations@thurrock.gov.uk – those who are unable to email can phone 01375 652 652.

4) Any objection to the proposed order must be made in writing, giving the grounds on which it is made and sent to the following address Civic Offices, New Road, Grays, RM17 6SL or sent via email to troconsultations@thurrock.gov.uk to arrive on or before 18 October 2024. Any objection may be communicated to other persons who may be affected.
