Temporary Prohibition or Restriction of Traffic
Stifford Road, South Ockendon
1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the 1984 Act”) and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the1984 Act, hereby gives notice that they have made the above order on the 13th February 2025, the order will come in to force on the 13th March 2025.
2) The general effect of the Order would be to introduce a new waiting restriction “No Waiting At Any Time” at the following locations:-

- On the western side of Stifford Road, from the northern kerb line of B1335 Stifford Road following the kerb line in a northerly then westerly direction for a distance of 27m.
- On the south-eastern side of Stifford Road, from the northern kerb line of B1335 Stifford Road following the kerb line in a northerly then easterly direction for a distance of 164m.
- On both sides of Fulbrook Lane, from the northern kerb of Stifford Road following the kerb line in a north-westerly direction for a distance of 10m.
- On the northern side of Stifford Road, from the south-western kerb line of Fulbrook Lane following the kerb line in a south-westerly direction for a distance of 10m.
- On the northern side of Stifford Road from the northern kerb line of Fulbrook Lane following the kerb line in an easterly direction to the common boundary wall of No.89/91 Stifford Road.
- On the northern side of Stifford Road from the eastern property wall of No.101 Stifford Road in an easterly then northerly direction onto Foyle Drive to the southern boundary wall of No.1 Foyle Drive.

4) Any person wishing to object to the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the 1984 Act, or that any requirements of the Act has not been complied with, may, within 6 weeks from the date of on which the order is made apply for the purpose to the High Court.
