Traffic Regulation Order (TRO)

No waiting at any time

West Thurrock Green, West Thurrock, phase 2

1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the 1984 Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the1984 Act, hereby gives notice that they have made the above order on 18 May 2024, the order will come in to force on 23 June 2024.

2) The general effect of the Order would be to introduce a new waiting restriction "No Waiting At Any Time" at the following locations:

i. on the north side of Loweswater Way, from the junction/roundabout of Costco Store Carpark in a west direction following the kerb line for a distance of 44m
ii. on the south side of Loweswater Way, from the junction/roundabout of Costco Store Carpark in a west direction following the kerb line for a distance of 28m
iii. at the junction/roundabout of Abberton Way and Loweswater Way 
iv. on the east side of Abberton Way, from the junction/roundabout of Abberton way and Loweswater way in a north direction following the kerb line for a distance of 53m
v. on the north side of Buttermere way, from a point 27m east of east flank wall of 1 Buttermere Way in an east direction, then north direction following the kerb line for a distance of 80m
vi. on the west side of Abberton Way, from a point 10m north of the south flank wall of flat 1-43 in a north direction, then a west direction following the kerb line for a distance of 84m
vii. on the west side of Dovestone Close, from a point 3m north of north flank wall of 2 Doveston Close in a north direction, then a west direction following the kerb line for a distance of 33m
viii. on the north side of Buttermere Way, from a point opposite of west flank wall of 3 Buttermere Way in an east direction following the kerb line for a distance of 32m
ix. on the south side of Buttermere Way, from east flank wall of 5 Buttermere Way in a west direction, following the kerb line for a distance of 12m
x. on the south side of Buttermere Way, from east flank wall of 9 Buttermere Way in a west direction, then a south direction following the kerb line for a distance of 25m
xi. on the north side of Buttermere Way, from a point opposite of east flank wall of 5 Buttermere Way in a west direction, then north direction following the kerb line for a distance of 38m
xii. on the west side of Broadstone Way, from a point opposite the south flank wall of flats 56-114 Dovestone Close in a north direction following the kerb line for a distance of 207m
xiii. at the junction of Broadstone Way and Dovestone Close adjacent to 26 Dovestone Close
xiv. at the junction of Dovestone Close and Doveston Close adjacent to 12, 42, 61 Doveston Close and Alberto House 
xv. at the junction of Broadstone Way and Dovestone Close adjacent to 54 Dovestone Close
xvi. at the junction of Dovestone Close and Doveston Close adjacent to 44 Doveston Close
xvii. on both sides of Abberton Way, from the east kerb line of Euclid Way following the kerb line for a distance of 48m
xviii. on both sides of Euclid Way, from its junction with Abberton Way in a south direction to Motherwell Way junction

3) A copy of the Made Order together with the plans can be obtained from the Transport Delivery team by phoning 01375 652 652 during normal office hours or alternatively via Thurrock Council's website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices

4) Any person wishing to object to the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the 1984 Act, or that any requirements of the Act has not been complied with, may, within 6 weeks from the date of on which the order is made apply for the purpose to the High Court.
