Public notice

1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers under sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (hereinafter referred to as "the 1984 Act") and all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, intends to make the above named Order ("the Proposed Order").

2) The general effect of the Order would be:

a) to revoke existing 40mph Speed Limit restriction at the locations specified below:

i. B149 Wood View, from Daneholes roundabout in a southeast direction to the Old Dock approach Road on both eastbound and westbound carriageways

b) to introduce a 30mph Speed Limit restriction at the locations specified below:

ii. B149 Wood View, from Daneholes roundabout in a southeast direction to the Old Dock approach Road on both eastbound and westbound carriageways

3) A copy of the Proposed Order together with the plans can be viewed on Thurrock Council's website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices. Alternatively the proposals can be viewed by appointment during normal office hours (Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm) by emailing the Transport Delivery Team at troconsultations@thurrock.gov.uk – those unable to email can phone 01375 652 652.

4) Any objection to the Proposed Order must be made in writing, giving the grounds on which it is made and sent to the following address Civic Offices, New Road, Grays, RM17 6SL or sent via email to troconsultations@thurrock.gov.uk to arrive on or before 30 August 2024. Any objection may be communicated to other persons who may be affected.
