Junior road safety officer’s scheme
The junior road safety officer’s scheme allows children to talk about road safety issues in their school. Children can raise road safety awareness with other pupils, teachers and the wider community, while working with road safety officers.
The scheme encourages pupils to take responsibility for their own learning and decision-making. Schools recruit 2 pupils from Year 5 or Year 6 to act as road safety champions and promote road safety issues in their schools.
