Contract funerals
We have a duty to arrange a funeral for people who have passed away if no known next of kin are located, or the next of kin are either unwilling or unable to make arrangements.
We are usually notified by the Essex Coroner's Service. When the coroner's officer has completed enquiries and is unable to trace next of kin, they contact us and we begin the arrangement of a contract funeral.
