Online with your library

Your new Libraries website – launching on 1 April

We will be launching our new Libraries website on Wednesday 1 April. The site will not only have an improved look and feel, for the first time you will be able search the catalogue, join, log in to your account and borrow books from the homepage. Our existing Library webpages may be offline from Friday 20 March, in preparation for launching the new site. All your account information will be carried across on Friday 20, and will be there in the new site. The App will continue working throughout. We have more information on our website

British Film Institute (BFI) digital archive

The British Film Institute (BFI) provides a free digital archive called BFI Replay that can only be accessed through public library computers.

Through BFI Replay you can watch thousands of digitised videos and television programmes from:

  • the BFI National Archive
  • the film archives of partner UK regions and nations

You can browse BFI Replay for research, study or enjoyment. You'll find familiar and memorable material, as well as rare material that hasn't been seen for decades.

To access BFI Replay, login to a library computer and open the BFI Replay icon.

Further information about the national project, go to BFI: BFI Replay.
